Sorry, should have been clearer.
I removed ceramic tile before the laminate was put down. I had a very heavy layer of thinset to remove and or grind down before embarking on the laminate intall.
I really thought I got things down to spec, but it sounds like maybe there were level issues with the concrete itself.
The good news is the area in question is the last 20-30 square feet of an 800 sf+ installation. If I decided to pull up the last few rows, it wouldn't be a heartbreaker, especially if it ensures no problems down the line...
