: Hello and thank you for maintaining this board, its been invaluble so far, but I've got a major problem.

: I just finished installing Trafficmaster laminate in our kitchen and the ice maker line developed a small hole in the copper tubing, no doubt through moving back and forth(and I was really careful too!). It must have been leaking back there for several days as the entire area around the fridge started to buckle. I pulled up all of the boards and there was some water underneath on the underlayment and many of the boards are now slightly warped at the long ends.

: Is it possible to let them dry out for a while and place them underneath some unused boxes of laminate for weight and hope that they dry straight?

: Any and all tips are very much appreciated as I did this(and the entire first floor, in anticipation of our new baby's arrival, and he just got home yesterday to this mess!)

: Thanks!
: Jason

Thus the reason, I ALWAYS try to talk my clients from putting laminate or wood in a potential wet or spill area!!!!

There is no saving the planks. Once swelled you would need more pressure then the flooring was originally produced with, to even think about making them "good" again.

I would keep a lot of extra flooring on hand, for the next time, and there will be a next time, believe me.
