: My new flooring will be laid in about 3 weeks and I think I'm getting cold feet! I am having Kahrs laid in the living, dining, hall and kitchen areas - carpet in the bedrooms. My washer and dryer are at the end of my kitchen - a real wierd layout, but common in my neighborhood. My installer has assured me that it will NOT be a problem having these two appliances on top of this flooring, but I am still not convinced. What do I do if something falls behind one of them (it's happened to all of us, ooops! there goes a sock) and I have to move it? How will I do this and not scratch the floor? Any advice to calm these "flooring jitters"? Thanks
: Breezy

Breezy, I wouldn't be so worried about that, as much as I would about the famous "unballanced load" in the washer, when it tries to hit the spin cycle, and po-go-s across the floor.

I would never put laminate or wood floors in a potenially "wet" area. That is what Ceramic Tile is for!!!
