Hi Pat,
Fiber and weight will give you the best indication
of a carpets possible life. Nylons are the most resilient,
most expensive, and longest warranties. Pound for pound,
berbers will hold up longer, due to its' looped structure.
The drawback with a berber is a loose yarn. If a yarn
gets loose, it could conceiveably be pulled out the length
of the carpet. I believe a standard cut-pile carpet would
serve you best. Have you considered a cut & loop carpet?

Good Luck,
Wally

: We're considering Berber carpet but I've read somewhere that it is hard to clean. I have two boys 3&4 yrs old. This alone will ensure a lot of wear in the carpet. I'd like some advise. If you know the pros and cons, let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it.
