I am planning to install 8"x8" tile over an 8'x11' section of my basement I have made into a wine cellar. The house is brand new and this small room in the basement has the typical poured concrete floor which is to say it is not perfectly level. I took out a book from the library which refers to a cement-like material which can be poured over concrete to make it more level. What is the stuff called and how hard is it to install yourself? I'm not referring to backer board, but instead to a pour-on cement/concrete type material.
