I recently purchased some 3/4" rosewood planks & "Bostik's Best Hardwood Adhesive" from HD after the assiciate there informed me that they could be glued down. Now having done more research on the web, I see that nail-down installations are always recommended for hardwood installs. This leads me to a few questions.
Will the glue work? If so, are there any negatives associated with using the glue as opposed to nail-down?
If glue-down is ok, is there a need for the vapor barrier along with it?
I've read that nail-down jobs are best left to professionals. Aside from the risk of shooting a nail into my foot, is it really difficult?
Thanks...this stuff's expensive so I want to do it right! :)
