: : Acclimate to the conditions that you maintain everyday for living!
: That's the trouble - there is no everyday! If it's cool enough (below 80) in the summer, we don't use the AC, so it may get quite humid in the house. For hotter days, we use the AC and it's quite dry. In the spring and fall it may get into the 60s, and during the day. In the winter we heat to the mid-60s, and it's generally pretty dry.
: So, conditions are across the board. I think we'll acclimate to a mid-temperature condition to try to minimize contraction and expansion down the road. Unless anyone else has specific insight into why a hotter or cooler temp would be better.
Boy, leave it to a manufacture spokeman to be so vauge. Epansion is your worst enemy. Install it warmer and higher rh. Leave a 1/4 in gap and use a 3/4 round to finish. Or just use a nice base with a 5/8 in foot on it. You can always throw on the quarter round later if it shrinks alot.
Note, I never, well hardly ever see it shrink.
