I can't really answer the question of screws(w/osb), but the guys over at finehomebuilding.com all agree on the use of them AND Liquid Nail. I know ring shank nails will hold a subfloor together better than ordinary nails. As I said I'm not that familiar with seeing OSB as I rarely encounter it.
