I put the cherry three strip down in our heavily used den two years ago. It has held up remarkably well. Even in the most used areas, there is no sign of wear, except where our kids dropped a big rock and made a smaller-than-a-dime size gouge.

Our 90lb dog is on it all the time, makes no marks.

I would hesitate to use it in an area that would get wet without gluing it. I know it's a snap together product, but if water or soap sits on a seam for more than a few mins., the edge will puff up for several weeks. I think glue would seal those seams and eliminate that issue.
The cherry will darken over time, but my wife and I agree that it looks better now than when new. It's taken on a more amber color where it gets direct sun. You also want to be sure your subfloor is free of dips and rises, as the floor will feel soft around these, and the seams will show over time where the floor flexes.
