Iam trying to determine if it is possible to put tile or hardwood over a wetbed slate floor which is uneven 1/8" to a max of 1/4" with out leveling the floor first. the room is 22' x 20' and the buildup on the original slab floor is about 1 3/4" of wet bed, which makes me believe the original pad was way out of level. I may have more problems if I try to take the old slate out.
Any suggestions??
