Press Release: Haichen Int'l Expo Appoints Spreen Enterprises as Agents for China International Construction & Decoration Materials Exposition

Interbuild Qingdao program designed to facilitate opening markets in China

August 28, 2009 - The Qingdao Haichen International Expo. Co., Ltd. has appointed Dave Spreen Enterprises, Inc. as its exclusive North American agent for the China (Qingdao) International Construction & Decoration Materials Exposition. The 5th annual event will be held Oct. 27-29 at the Qingdao International Exhibition Center.

Also known as Interbuild Qingdao 2009, the China International Construction & Decoration Materials Exposition has become the third largest building materials exhibition in China. Major display categories include flooring, doors, windows, and kitchen/bath along with their related support industries.

In addition, the 2009 China International Building Energy Saving Fair, which has become one of the most influential events offering solutions to energy issues facing the building industry in northern China, will be held concurrently with Interbuild China 2009. As a result, it is expected the entire Qingdao International Convention Center's 50,000 sqm, encompassing 2000 booths will be occupied by about 600 exhibitors.

Special activities have been arranged to add value for visitors and exhibitors, which include an Investments Summit, Suppliers/Buyers Meeting, New Products Press Conference, and Under-construction Purchasing Meeting.

Dave Spreen, President of Dave Spreen Enterprises, Inc., has organized delegations of flooring and building industry representatives to participate in a number of exhibitions in Beijing and Shanghai since 2000. He believes Interbuild China offers a unique opportunity to enter the Chinese market.

The Qingdao Haichen International Expo. Co. has worked with the Qingdao Construction Committee to organize the Under-construction Projects Purchasing Meeting that will bring together over 200 major project managers plus 10,000 domestic and 600 international professional buyers prepared to sign on-site orders.

As Mr. Spreen observed, "A well organized program to get a quick start into the Chinese market has been what was lacking in previous flooring and building trade exhibitions I've promoted, so I am excited to be working with Qingdao Haichen International Expo. Co. to help develop an avenue for North American firms wanting to do business in China."

"With an excellent port and growing affluence of the Qingdao area, combined with a major corridor access to Beijing markets, I expect Interbuild Qingdao will become a major venue for attracting new players to the Chinese market over the next five years.", Spreen said.

Despite the global recession, it is projected that the equivalent of the entire US housing stock will be built in China during the next 15 years. Each year for the past few years, China has built 7.5 billion square feet of commercial and residential space, exceeding the total floor space of all US malls combined. By 2030, it is estimated 5,000 new cities and 50,000 new skyscrapers will be built.
